Gyprocking Services Across Sydney

You have probably been through this before. You get three quotes, one never calls back, one sends a price that makes no sense, and the third shows up late, does half the job, and disappears. Finding a gyprocker who actually turns up, does clean work, and finishes what they start should not be this hard.

What we do

Sydney Wide Plastering has been gyprocking across Sydney and the Northern Beaches since 1993. Gyprocking is the plasterboard side of the plastering trade: installing, finishing, and repairing gyprock walls and ceilings. It is the core of what we have done for over 30 years. This is a hands-on business where the person quoting your job is the same person overseeing the work.

Gyprock Installation

Gyprock walls and ceilings are the foundation of our business. We install plasterboard on new timber and steel frame structures, replace deteriorated linings in older homes, and overlay new gyprock over existing surfaces where structurally suitable. Every installation is sanded, inspected under cross-lighting, and finished to a paint-ready standard.

Gyprock Repairs

Plasterboard ceiling with set joints and patched fixings

If you have been putting off a gyprock repair because you think it is too small to bother a tradesperson with, don’t. We handle repairs of every size, from a fist-sized hole left by a doorknob to full sheets of water-damaged plasterboard that need replacing. No job gets turned away for being too small.

Common gyprock repairs we handle:

  • Cracks along joins and corners
  • Holes and impact damage
  • Water-damaged plasterboard
  • Popped nail heads and lifted tape
  • Sagging or bowed ceiling sheets

We assess the damage, address the underlying cause where possible, and restore the surface so the repair is invisible once painted. If the job also needs painting after the plasterwork, we can handle that too.

Gyprock Walls

We install and repair gyprock walls of every size: a single partition wall, a feature wall, or an entire house. We work with standard, moisture-resistant, impact-resistant, and fire-rated plasterboard depending on what the space demands. For something with more architectural interest, we also build curved plaster walls using specialised flexible plasterboard.

Gyprock Ceilings

Ceiling work demands precision. We inspect every ceiling under strong cross-lighting before finishing to make sure there are no visible joins, ridges, or imperfections. If your home has old vermiculite (popcorn) ceilings from the 1950s through to the 1980s, we can install new gyprock directly over the surface to give you a smooth, modern ceiling without the mess and cost of removal.
